Explore the 2022 Earth-Kind Gardening Field Day
The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service and Travis County Master Gardeners are having their fall 2022 Earth-Kind Gardening Field Day on Saturday, October 22nd from 9am to 1pm at the Travis County AgriLife Extension office located at 1600 Smith Road, Austin, TX 78721. Parking is available along Smith Road. This event is free and open to the public. Inexperienced and experienced gardeners and those curious about sustainable gardening, irrigation, growing vegetables, and selecting tough plants for the Austin area are invited to attend the fall Earth-Kind Gardening Field Day. Supercharge your Garden with Texas Superstar Plants
The new Texas Superstar Guide to strong and stunning plants for Texans, created by Texas A&M AgriLife Research, the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service and the Texas Department of Agriculture, is available online. To be designated a Texas Superstar, a plant must be beautiful and perform well for consumers and growers throughout the state. Superstars must be easy to propagate, which should ensure the plants are not only widely available throughout Texas but also reasonably priced. Springfest at Local Garden Centers
Lowe’s Garden Centers are hosting a Springfest this year which includes some pretty fun projects and some free flowers, trees and supplies. You must be registered on Lowes.com to receive the free kits. If you don’t have spring break plans, you’re not alone.
