    Join Us in the Texas A&M AgriLife Demo Garden for our monthly Open House! The first Friday morning of every month is designated as a FREE open house for the Texas A&M AgriLife Earth-Kind Demonstration Garden at 1600 Smith Road, Austin. You’ll be able to visit the garden and speak with the Travis County Master Gardener volunteers who maintain it as well as get your gardening questions answered by the Plant Clinic staff.     Join us for "Fall 2024 Earth-Kind Gardening Field Day” by the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service and Travis County Master Gardeners! This family-fun and educational event will be held on Saturday, October 19th from 9 am to 1 pm at the Travis County AgriLife Extension office located at 1600 Smith Road, Austin, TX 78721.   • Lakeway Garden Club Winter Garden Tour

    For our December event, the Lakeway Garden Club is hosting an informative field trip for all members. We will meet at the Lake Travis Community Library, have a quick meeting and then take a short drive to our garden tour at the Lakeway Church's Garden 9:10. We’d love to display photos of our members’ gardens, so please post your garden pix to our Facebook page and we will share them during our meeting. If you would like to request a future garden topic or have a specific gardening question, please let us know. All are welcome to join for free if they are not already a member.

  • Grow Green Garden Volunteer Workday

    Grow Green Garden Volunteer Workday at Zilker Botanical Garden Join the City of Austin staff from Watershed Protection Department in beautifying the Grow Green Garden inside Zilker Botanical Garden! This event is only open to the public. Please arrive prepared to work outdoors with closed-toed shoes and a full water bottle. We will provide all necessary tools. However, we recommend you bring a sun hat and you are welcome to bring your own gloves. The garden gate opens at 9 am. When you arrive at the garden, please show your GivePulse confirmation email to the gate staff at check-in to receive free admission for the day. After you've checked in, please park in our volunteer parking lot and meet your group at the flagpole in front of our main Garden Center building. A staff person will meet you for direction to the day's project. Thank you for your time volunteering at Zilker Botanical Garden!

    The Lakeway Garden Club invites volunteers of all ages to help at the Farmacy Garden, located at Bee Creek United Methodist Church. All harvested organic produce is donated directly to Helping Hand Crisis Ministries to support our neighbors in Spicewood. Whether you can spare one hour or stay for all four, your time makes a difference! Location: 3000 Bee Creek Rd, Spicewood, TX 78669 (Find us behind the large metal building on the Bee Creek UMC campus) The Farmacy Community Garden was established by Master Gardener Clara Kistner in 2017.

    Attention lavender lovers! The beautiful Blanco Lavender Festival takes place over the weekend of June 7th - 9th.  Visit the sweet little town of Blanco during the Festival, where there will be food, drink, music, vendors and, of course, lots of lavender!! Visit Texas’ First commercial lavender farm and enjoy the Lavender Market on the grounds of the historic old Blanco County Courthouse, where you can take in some great live music in the park. The Blanco Lavender Festival is a project of the Blanco Chamber of Commerce and the major fundraiser for the year for the Chamber.
