  • Wildflower Center’s Native Plant Sale

    The Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center's Spring Native Plant Sale features a variety of Texas natives, including perennial and annual flowers, grasses, vines, shrubs and trees for shady and sunny gardens. Native plants conserve water; lower mowing costs; provide habitat for birds, butterflies and other wildlife; protect and enrich soil; and reduce the use of fertilizer and pesticides. Plus, they’re beautiful! Starting 9am-1pm on the weekend of March 24th (Fri, Sat, Sun) and continuing each weekend through May 7th, 2023. Starting March 31, guests will be admitted to the plant sale on a first-come, first-served basis. Entry is included with the cost of general admission.

Chat with our knowledgeable members about growing and using herbs while you shop. Join a guided tour of Zilker Herb Garden to see how your plants will grow! Entertain the kids with hands-on crafts. No sales tax on plant purchases, this is an AHS Tax-Free Sales Day. AHS is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Attend educational workshops with expert AHS members on: “The Benefits of Using Ginger,” “Herbal Skincare” & “Best Herbs to Grow for Making Tea.”

    Attention lavender lovers! The beautiful Blanco Lavender Festival takes place over the weekend of June 7th - 9th.  Visit the sweet little town of Blanco during the Festival, where there will be food, drink, music, vendors and, of course, lots of lavender!! Visit Texas’ First commercial lavender farm and enjoy the Lavender Market on the grounds of the historic old Blanco County Courthouse, where you can take in some great live music in the park. The Blanco Lavender Festival is a project of the Blanco Chamber of Commerce and the major fundraiser for the year for the Chamber.
