Container Gardening Workshop
Learning the art of container gardening means you don't need a lot of land to support pollinators, enjoy the benefits of greenery and get your hands in the soil! Create a portable native plant paradise on your patio, balcony, or in your yard with this hands-on workshop taught by our very own Samantha Elkinton, Gardens Manager. Learn how to identify native plants that do well in containers and get tips for transplanting and keeping your flora healthy. Materials and plants for this class are included with registration. Participants are also welcome to bring a container of their choice (size specifications will be sent to participants prior to the workshop). This class will take place in person at the Wildflower Center. Space is limited and registration is required.
[Cancelled] Class: Austin’s Creeks – Keep Austin Beautiful
Learn basic ecological concepts: what makes up a riparian ecosystem, its function, the characteristics of healthy vs. degraded areas, and how ecologists and conservationists go about restoring riparian areas, with examples. Also learn how to get involved with KAB and the Adopt-a-Creek program!
